  • 500ml of all purpose flour
  • 10ml baking powder
  • 30ml sugar
  • 2ml salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 30ml melted butter
  • 125ml milk
  • 125ml water


  • Combine all the dry ingredients, melt the butter
  • mix in the eggs, milk and enough water to form a soft workable dough; knead lightly;
  • divide the dough into 10 pieces; form each one into a ball; roll out to a 1 cm (1/2″) disk
  • Place on a greased baking sheet and bake at 200 °C (400 °F) for 12-15 minutes.

**  I personally like to have these for breakfast with some plantain and maybe some bacon on a lazy, Sunday morning!  Also, I usually shallow fry these in a little oil.  This recipe I found is a healthier option, enjoy 🙂
